Site is useful for people who have no organisational affiliation and therefore no access to resources that require payment in order to access them. |
CIAO resources have been integrated within each library’s website for ease of access. A separate CIAO website is no longer available and a CIAO login is not required to access resources. The WA Health Libraries Network Consortium purchases a common core set of resources from central funding. The core resources may be reached from individual library sites, as they are integrated with locally purchased ones.
Why are there different sites?
- Wherever possible and when cost-effective, the WA Health Libraries purchase a common set of resources through consortium and other cooperative arrangements.
- Each hospital library also has its own set of resources as it is not always cost-effective to purchase a whole of health license.
- Access to individually purchased resources is restricted to those staff working for the health service that has purchased the license.
