EndNote in WA Health

The WA Health Libraries Network (WAHLiN) has purchased a WA Health-wide EndNote licence. EndNote version X3 and EndNote Web are available for use. If you have an earlier version of EndNote installed, it can be upgraded.

to have EndNote X3 installed. Please specify the asset number of your PC. Minimum requirements for PCs are the XP operating system and MS Office 2003.

Setting preferences in order to use Find Full Text Functionality

Please if you have any problems (or phone 9340 8464).

EndNote X3

EndNote X3 and EndNote Web are loaded on your work PC. See the EndNote site for more information about the functionality of the software.

  • EndNote is a database for storing and managing your references (including PDF copies of articles or web links to sites).
  • EndNote is a tool for creating bibliographies in documents.
  • EndNote is an online search tool.
  • EndNoteWeb is a means to collaborate and share your references.

Once EndNote is set up on your work PC you may also establish an EndNote Web account.

EndNote Web

EndNote Web provides the advantage of being able to use your EndNote libraries from anywhere in the world. Your EndNote libraries are stored on the EndNote server and you must login to MyEndNote Web. EndNote Web is also your best option if it is impossible to upgrade your operating system and version of MS Office. The full functionality of Cite-While-You-Write cannot be used unless you have a minimum requirement of MS Office 2003 on your PC.

You must register to use EndNote Web from this link. If you are offsite, you will need to install some EndNote Web files on your PC after registering.

After setting up your account, you can access EndNote Web at http://www.myendnoteweb.com from anywhere with an internet connection for a period of 12 months. You must reconnect at least once a year from this authentication-embedded link.
